International Post ExperienceCourse

First international short course on “Structural Integrity and Component Life Assessment”

It is our pleasure to announce the first international short course on “Structural Integrity and Component Life Assessment” in Sep. 19-21 2015 at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. This short course has been organized by collaboration of professors from Imperial College and Amirkabir University of Technology.

It is an international post experience course suitable for engineers in power plants, petroleum, chemical and aerospace industries where state of the art fracture-based design and life assessments need to be employed. The engineers in design and R&D departments, conditions monitoring-inspections & remaining life prediction offices, and post graduate students would be highly benefited from this course.

This short course will focus on the basic and recent advances in the subject of fracture and damage based structural integrity for low and high temperature components life assessment under static and cyclic loading conditions. It aims to provide an overview of the latest assessment methodologies and procedures for assessing the load carrying capacities and life assessment of cracked and uncracked components. Methods for safe use and component replacement using damage and fracture mechanics concepts are also presented. Developments in testing methods, data analysis, failure criteria, finite element modeling, residual stresses and geometry/material constraint will also be examined. More details of the short course contents, time table and registration could find in the attached documents. Best Regards Prof. A. Nobari Course Organizer Professor Amirkabir University of Technology Tehran Iran.
